The 2016 Ford C-Max Energi is equipped with a 2.0L Atkinson-Cycle I-4 engine that works in concert with an electric motor to produce 188 hp. The C-MAX hybrid powertrain is paired to an eCVT (Electronically Controlled Continuously Variable Transmission) that delivers power from both the engine and the electric motor to the wheels when you accelerate. The eCVT provides seamless shifting and a smooth ride throughout your entire journey.

The C-Max Energi has a state-of-the-art 7.6 kWh lithium-ion battery with plug-in capability that allows you to fully charge the vehicle in 2.5 hours using the available 240-volt home charging option — or you can charge it overnight from a 120-volt outlet. Its unique hybrid engine also runs on gasoline, but you have the option of driving with electricity only, gasoline only, or both.

Oswego and Naperville drivers will enjoy the benefits of a hybrid engine with the 2016 Ford C-Max Energi delivering up to 40 mpg in the city and 36 mpg on the highway. It can also run on pure electric power for up to 19 miles.
