Flex drivers will be able to decide upon their own fusion of power and efficiency. Two engines are available, both paired to a sophisticated 6-Speed SelectShift automatic transmission.

Choices include:

• 3.5L Ti-VCT V6: Generates up to an impressive 287 horsepower and 254 lb-ft of torque. Mileage comes in at up to 16 mpg in the city and 23 on the highway, or 16 and 22 with all-wheel drive (AWD).
• 3.5L EcoBoost V6: Generates up to 365 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque for a phenomenally responsive drive, no matter the load you’re carrying in the back. AWD comes as standard, and mileage comes in at up to 16 mpg in the city and 22 on the highway.

Interior Space and Versatility

The 2017 Ford Flex comes as standard with seven-passenger seating across first-row bucket seats, a second-row 60/40 split bench seat, and a 50/50 split bench third-row seat. If you need to create a boost in cargo space, both rear seats can be folded flat to create up to 83.2 cubic feet; there’s even an available six-passenger seating option that utilizes second-row power-assisted fold 40/40 bucket seats.

Of course, the Ford Flex offers more than just space, with available upgrades including:

• Sony Audio System: Premium audio is delivered by the biggest name in sound, with 390 watts of power, a rear subwoofer, and 12 premium speakers combining to deliver concert-level sound.
• Power Liftgate: If you need to access the cargo compartment, or make it accessible for someone else, all you need to do is press a button on the key fob or inside the cabin. The power liftgate will then open automatically.
• Active Park Assist: Ultrasonic sensors can scan for parallel parking spots, then take care of the steering to get you inside without a fuss.
