And now, word is out on the mpg ratings of the 2015 Ford Mustang, which has caught the attention of drivers around Plainfield and Naperville.
MPG Ratings on the EcoBoost and V6
The EPA has now rated most of the models of the 2015 Mustang, leaving out only the V8 model. The Mustang EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder received an estimated 22 mpg city/31 mpg highway. The V6 manual option, meanwhile, is rated at 17 mpg city/28 mpg highway. For Naperville drivers who prefer an automatic transmission, the V6 model will offer 19 mpg city/28 mpg highway.
Fuel Economy Without Sacrificing Horsepower
The aptly named Mustang has plenty of ponies. The standard base engine is the 3.7L V6, which is estimated to produce 300 hp and 270 lb-ft of torque. The EcoBoost option is a 2.3L four-cylinder engine that is estimated to give 305 hp and 300 lb-ft of torque. Finally, the GT option is fitted with a 5.0L V8 estimated at a minimum of 420 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque. All these engines can be chosen with an automatic or manual transmission based on driving preference.
Tech Features and Driving Packages
