The Ford Transit allows business owners in Oswego, Naperville, and beyond to personalize everything from wheelbase length, to roof height, to cargo volume. Whether you’re hauling tools to repair an HVAC system, or conveying vacationers to their hotels, the Ford Transit’s flexible and upfitting-friendly interior makes it possible. Keep reading to learn more about the interior features of the 2017 Ford Transit.

Designed to efficiently transport tools, packages, and more, the 2017 Transit Van is offered with Regular, Long, and Long Extended wheelbases for at-floor cargo lengths of 126.0, 143.7, and 172.2 inches, respectively. Low, Medium, and High roofs adjust the height of the cargo area to 56.9, 72.0, and 81.5 inches, allowing you to move freely as needed. Behind the first row, the Transit Van boasts 246.7 to 487.2 cubic feet of space, as well as LED cargo lighting and optional carpeting. Up front, you’ll find seating for 2 passengers, manually adjustable seats, vinyl floor covering, and two audio speakers.

Passenger Wagon

The 2017 Transit XL and XLT Passenger Wagons are available with the same wheelbase lengths and roof heights as the Transit Van. Unlike the Van, however, the Passenger Wagon offers 3- to 5-row seating and easily shuttles groups of 8 to 15 passengers. Exclusive standard features include front/rear air conditioning and a vinyl floor covering for the XL, and cruise control with a message center and full-length carpeting for the XLT. Roomy dimensions and capacities add an extra level of comfort:

  • First-Row Headroom: 40.8 to 56.6 inches
  • Second-Row Legroom: 33.7 inches
  • Third-Row Hiproom: 67.3 inches
  • Fourth-Row Legroom: 35.6 inches
  • Fifth-Row Shoulder Room: 60.8 inches
  • Cargo Space Behind the Fifth Row: Up to 100.5 cubic feet
