Customized Mustang Models for the 2014 SEMA Show
Ford will showcase more than a dozen custom Mustang models at the 2014 SEMA Show in Las Vegas, displaying customized changes at the hands of top aftermarket builders who have tweaked performance and engine aspects to make the Mustang even more dramatic and impressive.
The 2015 Ford Mustang gives you a lot to work with. Changes in engine options, an all-new independent rear suspension, and a new multilink front suspension are revolutionary to the Mustang brand, making it an inspiring canvas for creative and unique modifications.
The SEMA show will see a lot of ideas implemented around the 5.0L V8 engine, but new to Mustang in 2015 is the 2.3L EcoBoost four-cylinder engine, which will no doubt prove to be an exciting and dynamic starting point for customization. This engine has so much potential it’s hard to know which direction the customized builders and turbocharged specialists will take it.
Let’s take a look at a couple of the custom Mustang models that will be at the SEMA Show.
Petty’s Garage will be showcasing a Roush supercharged V8 Mustang. This model will stand out with Richard Petty’s famous blue paint on the body and his car number from his NASCAR days — 43 — displayed as homage. This car is on a mission to do something decidedly different: it will be auctioned off, with the proceeds going to Victory Junction, an organization dedicated to helping chronically ill children attend summer camp.
Galpin Auto Sports
Next is Galpin Auto Sports, which is celebrating Mustang’s 50th birthday with a golden theme. Also using the 5.0L V8 engine, this model will feature a gold powder-coated Whipple supercharger, pushing output to 725 hp. It will also be decked out in gold-flecked black paint with gold badges as well as a refashioned front and rear with gold motifs.
