What’s the News Around Ford’s Future?

As the interest for hybrids and EVs increases among Naperville and Montgomery drivers, Ford has a plan to keep up with the demands. According to the experts at CNBC, “Ford plans to produce more than 2 million electric vehicles annually and generate a 10% adjusted operating profit margin by 2026.” Working to be a top competitor in the EV and hybrid segment, Ford is working diligently to outpace other brands in terms of production.

According to the Ford Media Center, Ford has plans to build Blue Oval City, a 6-square-mile plant where the next generation of electric F-Series models and batteries will be manufactured. This massive facility will be located in Tennessee, and it will cost about $5.6 billion and create about 6,000 jobs. Ford is also building another facility in Kentucky in partnership with SK Innovation, which will go by the name of BlueOval SK Battery Park. This complex will be a dedicated battery manufacturing plant.
