The 2015 Ford F-150 Enters Production
At River View Ford in Oswego, IL, we’re excited about all the new and dramatic changes on the 2015 Ford F-150. The first 2015 F-150 models have now rolled off the assembly line, and we’ll have it for Naperville and Plainfield drivers very soon.
With a redesigned body using high-strength aluminum, the weight of the 2015 Ford F-150 is about 700 pounds lighter than its predecessor, making the truck perform more efficiently without sacrificing power or capability.
A revamped truck needs a revamped approach to making it. That’s why Ford has added 850 new jobs at its Dearborn, MI factory and updated its body shop with 500 new robots to assemble the structures of the new F-150. The result is a dramatically different truck, offering impressive efficiency, power, and capability.
With a high-strength, military grade aluminum body and a frame constructed with high-strength steel, the 2015 F-150 weighs less and offers more strength, earning best-in-class towing and payload capacities and an improved power-to-weight ratio across all four engine options.
